Description:The Green Party of the United States is a grassroots national party. We're the party for "We The People," the health of our planet, and future generations instead of the One Percent. We welcome all those who refuse to accept a choice limited to the Two Parties of War and Wall Street. The Green Party supports livable wages, universal health care (Medicare For All), repeal of Citizens United, free higher education, student debt forgiveness, full reproductive rights for women, human rights for all immigrants and for LGBTs, and racial justice: Black Lives Matter! Greens will lead the opposition to the Trump-Pence agenda during the next four years. We will not compromise, capitulate, or go along with the bipartisan consensus. The Green Party continues to represent the best hope for America's future.

We are grassroots activists, environmentalists, advocates for social justice, nonviolent resisters and regular citizens who鈥檝e had enough of corporate-dominated politics. Government must be part of the solution, but when it鈥檚 controlled by the 1%, it鈥檚 part of the problem. The longer we wait for change, the harder it gets. Don鈥檛 stay home on election day. Vote Green.
聽
Everything we do is based on our four pillars:
聽
Our country's long wars and worldwide military presence are immoral and unsustainable. Our military budget must be cut dramatically.
The human cost of climate change is too high. We need to get off fossil fuels and on to renewable energy.
Falling wages and rising bills are hitting most of us, and the most vulnerable are hit the hardest. We demand a living wage and a real safety net.
We demand public financing of elections, open debates, and more representative voting systems.
...and our ten key values

Green Party Gains Ballot Status in MA and Breaks New Ground in Midterms
The Green Party gained ballot status in Massachusetts and maintained ballot status in Connecticut, the District of Columbia (DC), Michigan, and New York. In DC, Massachusetts and Michigan, multiple candidates got the required votes for ballot status, and Howie Hawkins broke a New York record by winning the ballot line for a third party in three consecutive gubernatorial elections.聽
The Green Party lost ballot lines in Arizona, Maryland and Ohio based on the number of votes in the gubernatorial races; however, these races energized members, promoted public discussion of Green Party positions, and set the stage for future wins. The total number of states where the Green Party currently has ballot lines is 19 plus DC. Candidates can run in other聽states by petitioning to get on the ballot.

There's A New Political Party In Massachusetts!
We are pleased to announce that in the November 6th statewide election, the Green-Rainbow Party (GRP) statewide candidates earned enough votes to be formally recognized as an official party in the state of Massachusetts. The GRP expects to receive its elevated status later this month once the results are fully certified by the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Altogether, more than one hundred thousand voters chose Green-Rainbow in this election.
"I think people are tired of fear-mongering and the failings created by today's divisive two-party system," said Juan Sanchez, the GRP candidate for Secretary of State and the first Puerto Rican to qualify for inclusion on the state ballot. "In Massachusetts, voters are extremely independent-minded. They really responded to our inclusive, grassroots campaign and my progressive stance on voter and election reform."

Urgent Press Release: Greenfield denounces Republican PAC dirty trick
It has come to my attention that today I became the unwitting, unwilling "beneficiary" of a Republican PAC in Texas that has delivered $49,000 worth of mailers, robocalls, and social media ads exclusively to registered Democrats in New York's 19th Congressional District, attacking Antonio Delgado, and comparing him unfavorably to me. This expenditure is almost 50 times my total advertising budget.
The messages are not from me, my campaign, or any PAC supporting me. They are not from the Green Party or any PAC supporting us. They are from Republicans (details below).

Kurland Responds to Super-PAC Mailers
It came to the attention of our campaign Friday afternoon that unauthorized mailers are being distributed via a Super-PAC with ties to the Republican Party of Michigan. Thanks to the excellent reporting at Eclectablog, the funding for these mailers were funneled through three separate Super-PACs, in a manner most banks would consider to be laundering money. Not only do these mailers imply our campaign has the support of Bernie Sanders, who has already stumped and endorsed one of our opponents, but they also imply that the Super-PAC itself supports our campaign.

PA Greens Condemn Recent Hate Attacks
This has been a horrendous week of hate: Beginning with the Administration鈥檚 efforts to persecute and threaten the lives of millions of transgender people through a change in the official definition of gender, and ending with the unspeakable, anti-semitic tragedy in Pittsburgh. 聽
Green Party of Pennsylvania members extend our deepest sympathies and offer our support to the victims of these acts of violence. These unspeakable anti-semitic, cissexist, bigoted attacks are a tragic indignity to our American values. We stand in solidarity with the Tree of Life Synagogue, the trans community, and the victims of these horrific hate crimes.

Latinx Caucus Statement on Central American Refugee Caravan
The Latinx Caucus of the Green Party of the United States calls on all Americans to take a stand for justice and compassion and to take responsibility for the human rights crisis created by decades of abusive and exploitative American foreign policy. We must allow the refugees flooding out of Central America to apply for political asylum.Thousands of Central American refugees are marching to the United States-Mexico border in the hope that they will be able to apply for political asylum. This march started in Honduras on October 13, 2018, with about 600 Hondurans, consisting of entire families who are escaping violence and persecution. This violence stems from the erosion of the rule of law and the destabilization of entire communities as collateral damage resulting from decades of United States intervention in the region. Violence is also perpetrated by gangs which originated in the United States.

Green Party Awards Financial Assistance to Twenty Candidates
The Green Party of the United States Coordinated Campaign Committee (CCC) has awarded twenty Green Party candidates financial assistance for their federal, state, and local races. They are among over 200 Green Party candidates running in the midterm races, the winners of which will join 160 Green Party candidates in 19 states currently serving in office across the country.
Erin Fox, Co-chair of the CCC, said, "The Green Party has an amazing lineup of candidates this year. We are pleased to disburse these financial awards to show our support and gratitude to Green candidates. We want to be clear that it鈥檚 time to get big money out of politics. We don鈥檛 do this for the money, but it takes money to do it. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e asking Green Party supporters to match our awards and to contribute to these campaigns and any other Green candidates they are able to support."

Why I'm Green
Photo by Wendy SchreierI'm Green because I can't take the lies and the conditions anymore. Homelessness while there are empty houses, prisons built while schools close, children being shot down on our streets by police, mothers losing their children to the state because they don't have water in their homes and can't afford the water bill. My friends and family cant afford to wait anymore to try and change the Democratic Party .People who can wait are not familiar with our reality.
The one party system is killing our people and it's high time we stand up and say something, and more importantly, change it. It can't change unless we break with the corporations' money and that's exactly what the Green Party is doing. It stands up to dirty money and puts forward the vision of the world we want to live in. We can't wait any more. Building our party now will help to ensure a future for all of our children and generations to come.-Cheri Honkala
When it comes to the interests of Latinx and other people of color, Greens have the best platform in American politics. State by state, Greens are advocating fairness, economic justice, and respect鈥攆or all Americans. In recent years many Black and Latinx activists have left Democratic or independent politics, to become Green candidates and party leaders. In my home state of Rhode Island, Greens are active in grassroots movements to end racial profiling and police brutality, protect immigrants' rights, end deportations, and achieve a path to citizenship. I'm Green because from what I can see, the world's only real chance to survive, is through politics grounded in Ecology, Equality, Democracy, and Peace鈥攊n other words, Green politics. The mainstream parties are both controlled by big business, and can't help us now. In fact, they're working together against us. Isn't it time you joined the Greens?-Tony Affigne
Photo by Wendy SchreierI'm Green because I still have hope. Despite all of the pollution, racism, corporate control, money in politics, incarceration -- the list goes on and on -- I still have hope that it can change. I believe it takes a small band of people -- in communities all across the globe -- that stand up and say "enough is enough." The Green Party is that small band and we are ALL across the globe.
I am Green because I am not just voting on Election Day. I'm involved all year long and I'm "voting with my feet" by walking away from the corporate-controlled Democratic Party and into the Green Party, where grassroots political action rules the day.
Most social movements in this country started small and faced impossible odds. Yet if it can be done. I am Green because I have hope for our small band to grow into a mighty wave.
-Hillary Kane
